And no, I dont' work for them, but have used the product and met some of their engineers, they are doing some very sophisticated stuff and are mostly eclipsed by Oracle and who know who in Redmond

To be fair, I think Oracle also does some of this as well, and Sybase isn't 100% self tuning, but their indexes are mostly, and eventually databases will go in that direction, they have to.  Still don't expect the eco-system of DBAdmins to go away too soon.....</description>
